In 2004, the US mint released two types of nickels, including the "Louisiana
Purchase" (Type 1) nickel, and the "Lewis & Clark" keelboat nickel (Type 2). In
2005 the mint released two more types of nickels. The 2005 "American
Bison" (Type 1) commemorates the majestic of the great plains. The second 2005
nickel (Type 2) commemorates the famous expedition of Lewis and Clark reaching
the Pacific Ocean. This set includes both types of nickels from each year,
including all three mints. The P and D mint nickels are graded MS70 and the S
Mint is graded Proof 70 Cameo by SGS.
